The magnificent city of Prague Part 2

A beautiful walk from Charles Bridge leads to the Castle. The walk is very steep and can take an hour.

 Panoramic views.

However there are nice place and squares to stop, take a break and enjoy.

Also here, like everywhere in Prague, is offered the sweet pastry Trdelnik. This Slovak cake is famous in whole Europe and we cannot miss the opportunity to taste it.

The Castle is a complex of many buildings and nowadays is the official residence of the Czech president. The castle dating back to the 9th century has faced many important moments of the Czech history.

Breathtaking views towards the city.

We loved the beautiful scenery. It is very romantic.

Within the castle grounds is located the cathedral St Vitus with its beautiful stained glass windows, illuminated by the sun. The cathedral is so beautiful from outside and inside and the architecture is magnificent with its many decorations and details. The cathedral has an important historical significance and contains the tombs of many Bohemia kings and Holy Roman Emperors.

This stunning piece of Gothic architecture is rich of history. Perfect, spiritual and inspiring.

The architecture around is particularly beautiful.

St. Georges Basilica is the oldest church in Prague and is located in the grounds of the Prague Castle.

As people interested in history and architecture, we enjoy this place a lot. The complex of buildings represents the real grandeur of the Bohemian empire but the buildings nowadays have mainly governmental role.

Very charming place and beautiful views towards the elegant palace.

Another famous building located close to the river is the Dancing house, fascinating with its unusual design. The buildings curves and indeed gives the impression of dancing.

Not to be missed is Lobkowicz Palace, located also nearby representing the private collection of Lobkowicz family. The history of the palace and the family is rich and fascinating. These particular stories make the visit more enchanting. Inside are also a concert hall and a café, offering very romantic views towards the city.

Wallenstein Palace, the home of the Czech Senate. The building from the outside is very beautiful and impressing with its original simplicity.

Prague is magnificent place full of vivid atmosphere which left us breathless. This was definitely one memorable and very special visit.
