Palma de Mallorca Part 2

Palma attracts various groups of visitors who come here to enjoy unique nature and countless sightseeing.

Definitely one of Palma's highlights is the round Gothic castle Belvere which served for many years as the residence of the Kings of Mallorca.

This spectacular castle has clear fortification elements and s strategically located above the city. Definitely the round form of Castle Belvere is impressive and it is one the most important castles in Spain. This fascinating place has a lot to offer.

The castle can be easily access thanks to the road going uphill. We reach the castle with the sightseeing bus

Despite of the heat of the summer afternoon we spend several hours here enjoying the magnificent views over the city – the huge port, the cathedral and the popular beaches.

We go downhill through the steep paths.

Once arrive in the city center we take a walk along the harbor and luxury yachts.

One of the symbols in Palma is the Windmills which today can be find in every part of the island.

They are part of Mallorca`s history and island heritage.

Royal Palace of La Almudiana with a view over the bay of Palma. This imposing building was rebuilt by King Jaime II over its original Muslim Architecture. The Palace is used nowadays by the Royal Family as their official residence.

Choosing to have a traditional bar snack we go to one of many tapas bars here in Palma. The small portions allow us to try all tapas varieties -a new culinary experience.

Palma is unforgettable, like an instant love and there are plenty of reasons we would like to come here over and over again.
