Triberg Waterfalls

The Black Forest offers exceptional surroundings, ideal for active holiday. The wealth of natural areas historical and cultural heritage makes the region a preferred destination. Our exciting panoramic tour passes through Schwarzwald-Baar region.

There are lots of ways to enjoy The Black Forest. Lakes, rivers, green valleys and perhaps the best known of all: Triberg waterfalls.

Early in the morning we take the train from Freiburg to Elzach. There a bus will drive us to the town of Triberg

Enthusiastic tourists are already waiting, eager to enjoy being by the mountain in a unique way.

Our journey passes through picturesque landscapes. And there it is- Triberg. Close to the bus stop is the road to the waterfalls. Many domestic and international tourists wait on a queue. After 30 minutes we manage to get the tickets and reach the waterfalls, which are definitely a miracle of nature.

Water goes through several rocky levels, penetrating the forest around. We take the steep path and climb to the top.

Several wooden bridges pass above the waterfalls.

We can feel from here the incredible power of water and enjoy infinite views of the forest around us.

After passing its turbulent stream, water continues to flow calmly as a small shallow Gutach river.

Triberg is a quiet small mountain town which offers many traditional souvenirs. Here tourists can also visit the Museum of Black Forest.

Overwhelmed by the stunning atmosphere we go to the nearby mountain village Schonach.

Between Schonach and Triberg is located the world biggest cuckoo clock.

Tired at the end of the long day we take the bus back to Elzach. And again we could look around the variety of natural habitats, the unspoiled corners that make The Black Forest a genuine paradise. In front of us is the plan for our next adventure. There is still infinity of paths, gorges and caves to explore, an experience that won’t leave us indifferent.
