The magnificent city of Prague Part 2

A beautiful walk from Charles Bridge leads to the Castle. The walk is very steep and can take an hour.

 Panoramic views.

However there are nice place and squares to stop, take a break and enjoy.

Also here, like everywhere in Prague, is offered the sweet pastry Trdelnik. This Slovak cake is famous in whole Europe and we cannot miss the opportunity to taste it.

The Castle is a complex of many buildings and nowadays is the official residence of the Czech president. The castle dating back to the 9th century has faced many important moments of the Czech history.

Breathtaking views towards the city.

We loved the beautiful scenery. It is very romantic.

Within the castle grounds is located the cathedral St Vitus with its beautiful stained glass windows, illuminated by the sun. The cathedral is so beautiful from outside and inside and the architecture is magnificent with its many decorations and details. The cathedral has an important historical significance and contains the tombs of many Bohemia kings and Holy Roman Emperors.

This stunning piece of Gothic architecture is rich of history. Perfect, spiritual and inspiring.

The architecture around is particularly beautiful.

St. Georges Basilica is the oldest church in Prague and is located in the grounds of the Prague Castle.

As people interested in history and architecture, we enjoy this place a lot. The complex of buildings represents the real grandeur of the Bohemian empire but the buildings nowadays have mainly governmental role.

Very charming place and beautiful views towards the elegant palace.

Another famous building located close to the river is the Dancing house, fascinating with its unusual design. The buildings curves and indeed gives the impression of dancing.

Not to be missed is Lobkowicz Palace, located also nearby representing the private collection of Lobkowicz family. The history of the palace and the family is rich and fascinating. These particular stories make the visit more enchanting. Inside are also a concert hall and a café, offering very romantic views towards the city.

Wallenstein Palace, the home of the Czech Senate. The building from the outside is very beautiful and impressing with its original simplicity.

Prague is magnificent place full of vivid atmosphere which left us breathless. This was definitely one memorable and very special visit.

The Czech capital Prague is situated on Vltava River and is the biggest city in the Czech Republic and one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. Prague has plenty of historical and cultural attractions and the city center is declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The historical Old Town (Stare Mesto) in Prague is located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge and is so amazing square with all the superb views around. This absolutely gorgeous place is definitely one of the most fascinating squares in Europe. It is always bustling with life and entertainments and offers many delightful views and memorable moments.

Strolling around the street here is such an emotional experience. Every street brings a unique atmosphere. Love it!

This place has faced several historical events of the Czech history.

In the middle of the square is the monument of Jan Hus, the religious reformer who was burnt at the stake in Constance.

Stunning views and stunning architecture.

One of the biggest buildings here is the old church Our lady before Tyn. Its fairy tale architecture is just stunning.

One of the best landmarks of Prague.

All views here are very iconic and beautiful. The square is always crowded with tourists from the whole world.

Here we also admire the historical astronomical clock with its details and dancing figures.

This is one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world and is located on the Old Town Hall.

Roaming along the narrow streets we reach Charles Bridge and the river, which are so so romantically beautiful and spontaneously make us mentally travel to past times.

The wonderful historical bridge is decorated with 30 historical religious statues and offers fantastic views towards the Prague panorama.

The famous bridge crosses the Vltava River and connects the historical center with the castle. The views here are spectacular at every season or at every time of the day.

The Old Town Bridge Tower, an impressive construction in the beginning of the bridge. Great to climb here and enjoy the fantastic views.

The bridge is usually very crowded with lots of artists and street musicians.

Majestic views.

From here we have nice views towards the castle.

Prinz-Georg-Garten in Darmstadt, a colourful oasis in the middle of the city

Darmstadt is located very close to Frankfurt. The small town has many attractions and green areas.

One of the oldest and biggest city parks is Herrengarten and right close to it is the wonderful Prinz-Georg-Garten with the fascinating Prinz-Georg Palace.

This centrally located park is truly impressive.

Breathtaking views towards the Rococo garden with flowers, herbs, fruit trees and fountains.

The small and intimate palace.

Well preserved garden with many trees and plants. Just a gorgeous and very quiet place.

Prinz-Georg Palace

Well worth a visit in this colorful place, a perfect area just to enjoy the sun and the tranquility.
