The Amazing Bergpark in Kassel, Beauty in Perfection
The Bergpark Wilhelmshohe is UNESCO World Heritage site is a
must to visit. This awesome uphill park on the edge of Kassel is an excellent
way to enjoy the city.
The park can be reached by buss from the central station
which can take you to the Hercules monument. The park is fairly big and it
takes some time to make a full circle. But it is worth walking and exploring
the nature or discovering many hidden corners like the graves of Virgil and
Plato and the temples of Mercury and Apollo.
The park is overwhelming with its dimensions.
The park is absolutely beautiful, a splendid area for
wonderful walks.
The Bergpark is an excellent place to wonder along the
little pathways among the nature or just sit down for a drink or picnic.
Wonder around the devils bridge or the ruined roman
aqueduct.
Temple
The palace Wilhelmshohe is an art museum with a fantastic collection.
Iclimbed the 525 stairs to reach the majestic Hercules
statue on the top and from here I enjoyed 360° views over the city.
The statue is the symbol of the city.
The fountains and the waterfalls are a very spectacular
attraction. The landscape is gorgeous overlooking the entire city and revealing breathtaking views of the surroundings.
This is a wonderful location to walk, sit or let the time
pass.
The park is so amazing when trees are blooming and looks
like a fairytale.
Lowenburg castle is another attraction in the park. The
castle was built in the 1800 but the architecture style is medieval. The castle
has captured the history and here I could really feel and see how people lived
in Middle Ages.
I spent the whole day here, exploring the forest, the castle
and The Hercules fountain and I found exciting views everywhere. The park is magical
and this is definitely an amazing way to enjoy nature in a magnificent way.
