The cosmopolitan city of Düsseldorf offers a large number of
attractions, including the lovely Old Town, the elegant Königsallee (Kö) and
the Rhine promenade.
In the south of the city is Benrath Palace, an absolute
highlight for fans of architecture. The construction of the palace ensemble
started in 1755. Maison de plaisance was completed in 1770. The complex was
erected by the Palatine Elector Charles Theodor and his wife Elisabeth Auguste
as a pleasure and hunting palace. The residential is so beautiful inside with lots
of hidden rooms, decorated with superb furniture and silk.
The outstanding complex is a harmonically combination of
garden installations and stylish architecture ideas.
The main building is surrounded by two symmetrical wings
which surround a round pond.
A nice palace with its details of architecture.
The park and its gardens are a magnificent artistic complex
and represent the great cultural and natural importance of the region. The park
is bordering the Rhine and is a great place to walk in a nice day.
The gardens around the palace have a lot to offer. There are French, English and Japanese gardens.
Idyllic alleys in a relaxing oasis, a great place to stroll.
Very beautiful park in a quiet environment.
The orangery
Benrath Palace offers a
serene escape and fine architecture, definitely a worth visiting destination if
you are in Düsseldorf.
