Vratza "City as Balkan - ancient and young"

Vratza is a unique and desirable tourist destination for mountain climbing, religious tourism, delta-planerism and history lovers. Vratza is an ancient city founded by the Thracians, a place with rich history and many natural attractions.






 Vratza is situated at the foothills of the Balkan Mountains and is a center of active cultural life.

The rectangular Kurtpashova tower is 11 meter high with two stores, has been used as a tower and a house.



Nearby is the building of the regional historical museum, hosting many exponents, exhibited in several halls. Regional historical museum in Vratsa preserves the Rogozen Treasure - the biggest Thracian silver treasure that was ever discovered on the territory of Bulgaria.

Dating back to the 16th century, the tower of Meshchii has had defensive functions. In 19th century has been reconstructed into a clock tower.



The ethnographic complex Sofronii Vrachanski includes and the church built in 1848, a school and three old houses. 





The complex represents the traditional daily life and culture of the local people at the end of 19th century.
  





The church is one of the symbols of Vratza.  






The tourist complex Vestitelia, located above the city offers quietness and breathtaking panoramic views. The complex can be easily reached from the main square via stone stairs or alleys.
