Bansko is a popular Bulgarian ski resort located at the foot
of Pirin Mountains and 925m above the sea level. The mountain peaks near the
town are so impressive and offer excellent ski and snowboarding conditions and
the longest ski season of all Bulgarian resorts.
The good location and wonderful nature of the resort and its
surroundings attract local and international tourists in every season.
We enjoyed walking along the long Pirin Street and got
impressed by the old traditional Bulgarian houses, restaurants, ski equipment
shops and souvenir shops.
Most of the houses are made of stone and wood and give
picturesqueness to this area.
Very comfortable street to find great places to eat in one
of the many cheerful traditional restaurants.
It is worth to take a stroll along this street.
The green areas around are quiet and relaxing, decorated
with flowers, very picturesque and colorful.
The charming church Trinity is one of the major historical
and cultural signs in Bansko. The church is so unique with its architecture
and represents a magnificent combination between carvings, frescos and icons.
The bell tower.
The quiet and charming center of Bankso.
Hare is also the museum house of the poet Nicola Vaptsarov,
whose remarkable creativity and writing style have given him a place among the
most popular Bulgarian poets.
Bansko lies on the two banks of Glazne River,on the background is the mountain with a snowy top.
Bansko is an amazing ski resort and an excellent location to
chill out and relax surrounded by beautiful sceneries and breathtaking nature.
